About the Photographer
In the seventh grade I was introduced to photography by my art teacher and it is from this teacher where the roots of my journey through photography began. I was fascinated by the dark room and the smell of the chemicals, taking a keen interest in abstract photography during that period of time.
By the age of 17, my interests had shifted towards photographing close-ups of flowers and other vegetation, as well as landscapes and animals. Most of my work from that time was photographed on disposable cameras but some of my best photos were shot from my step mother's 'fancy' camera as I called it.
As my interests darted this way and that, my work improved and my cameras evolved. At 24, my photography skills were put to the test working as the reporter for the Madill Record in Madill, Oklahoma. From attending games, events, and emergency situations, I quickly learned and gained the ability to photograph quickly and at the right angles under pressure. This ability enhanced my work tremendously while photographing wildlife and pets.
To date, my passion for photography has never been in a more ideal location. Idaho has so many diverse and beautiful landscapes to photograpgh and capture. My passion for photography has allowed me to share how I see the world with others, but more importantly, bring smiles to peoples faces.
